No laundry?

Why is it when we can't use the appliances we feel the need to wash everything?  My husband is disbanning our laundry room/second bathroom today in order to level the concrete floor.  This means he has to pull the washer/dryer out of the space for at least a day if not two, and of course I feel the need to wash bedding and blankets.
This is what the floor currently looks like.  We are hoping to level it so we can put tile down.  I will keep you posted on if it is successful or not.

I thought I would share a picture of our upstairs Christmas tree.  It is snowman themed.  I found the idea a few years ago in Weston during their home tours.  I love putting this one up each year.
Due to my crazy life my kids had to decorate this one by themselves this year so the decorations are not distributed very well. I still love it!

Here is another Pinterest project I did this year.  This was a shirt for my son when he was small.  It's a joke amongst my teacher friends.  We had our staff Christmas party about the time he was conceived so they liked to call him our "bonus."  My youngest daughter actually asked Santa for a baby brother that year(to our surprise!), and it wasn't too long after we found out we were pregnant. Surprise! He was born in September of the next year.  Anyway we found this shirt when he was little and had to buy it because it was so fitting of our joke. I used the shirt to make a forever Christmas decoration by attaching it to a canvas.  I think I might add a trim or ribbon so I can hang it easier, but still pondering that one.  What projects have you made that reuses a token of memories?
